Happy birthday Audrey Hepburn!  I absolutely adore women who are icons and not a flash in the pan.  In celebration of the class and glamour that is Ms. Hepburn I will be breaking down some of my favorite looks and how to achieve them yourself in this modern era.

1. SBD ("Slinky" Black Dress):  Of course this look starts off the countdown.  Sleek, sophisticated, and of course timeless.  Black dresses stand the test of time with flying colors every day.  If a black dresses isn't your favorite add a twist to the color and opt for a cobalt blue, staying with the silhouette.  The blue dress is from Topshop and will one day be found in my (Top)closet.  Add some strappy heels, chandelier earrings and a loose hairstyle you'll take over any room.

2.  If Audrey had married today she would cause quite a stir with her choice of "dress".  Much like Keira Knightley who was applauded for her unconventional dress.  Audrey wed in her own signature style.  A cute baby doll jacket and head scarf would make for a pretty daring choice today.  Keira was photographed wearing her wedding dress during a different function.  A baby doll jacket can also be worn on multiple occasions

3.  Audrey impresses me so much with her ability to know her fit.  Most of her style was made for her by Givenchy, but my budget is more along the lines of thrifty.  No matter how much or little money someone has, the right fit adds luxury to a look.  A simple shift dress plays up a figure no matter what size.  Unfortunately some people don't believe it and think it's a tent.  Allow the dress to holly-go-lightly graze the shape of your body rather than swim on its own.

It's no secret to those who know me to understand my style.  Eclectic and timeless, trends are fun but keeping up with them tends to break my bank account.  Honestly, if I were to follow every trend I would look like a disaster (case and point high-low skirts).  Believe it or not you don't have to follow all the trends, for instance I don't follow the crop top top trend.  At least not the same way a lot of fashion columns encourage.

As a future fashion designer I really think it's cool
to see a cropped sweater with a pencil skirt, classy and fabulous.  But as a modest girl it doesn't send the message I work really hard to cultivate.  People tend to assume modesty is outdated and boring, I'm not saying buy out Laura Ingalls Express but perhaps lower the hemlines so I can't count the dimples on your butt.  I'm not modest because I'm scared of boys I do it because I would rather have the respect of a man than the drool of a boy.  I'm not modest because I'm ashamed of my body or rather boring.  A. I have a great figure, B. boring?  Don't make me laugh.


I do wear crop tops but I don't show much if any skin at all.  Like most people I choose a full skirt that hits the natural waist with a cropped shirt that has flow rather than a skin tight crop top.  Actually wearing thing at the natural waist elongates the body as well as slimming the figure, it's a win win really.  Allowing the top to graze the edge keeps tones allow for a covered look as well as a nice breeze through out the day.

I suggest a very snug tank under most crop tops, yes I can hear the excused already but hear me out.  I paired my red top with a rose bud patterned tank underneath for a little surprise underneath.  It doesn't have to be a solid color but this is a cool way to play with patterns and color block.

Since I have a pulse I am well aware that Coachella is right around the corner.  Because I'm oblivious to the music festival scene I thought it was last week, yikes!  As I am a Coachella never-been I've done my research on what all the cool kids do and wear to said festival.  To be completely honest it strikes me as a very dirty, hot, and grimy weekend event.  It's cool with friends but it's not a real priority for me to spend so much money to experience that.  Maybe I'm wrong, tell me in the comments.

Alas, if I were to go what exactly would I wear and why?  Let make a checklist shall we:
1. The desert is HOT!
2. Some people may not think about this but if there was a sudden mob attack I need to run!
3. How do I hold all my necessities?
4. Can I multi-function (bathroom?) (Are there bathrooms?)
5. I do not want to dress like just another music festival cliche

Shorts and a tank? Steer clear of ratty tatty holed up rags because it's so cliche and lame.  Opt more for a cotton tank that allows breeze.  Tack on some glamour by getting an embellished detail or perhaps a tank with a cool mural painted on it.  For crying out loud skip the scalloped lace shorts.  I don't understand the attraction to wearing what essentially looks like an adult lace diaper.

Bend it like Bosworth and try out an artistic approach to dresses.  The maxi dress has had it's hoorah so bring the 20's back with a drop waist dress.  Skip the floral mess print and think more like a painter.  It's really easy to add paint splatter to a dress even if it's a really small patterned detail.

Monday's are an absolute drag.  Tack on the fact that President's day is observed by all the other schools except yours... yeah.  Getting dressed for a day you're not gung ho about is a challenge and I'll admit that I almost let it get the best of me.  Alas, thank God for the skirt I accidentally turned into a dress.  The billowy effect is perfect for a Monday with plenty of space to move and thanks to the 86 degree weather, it kept me comfortable and not too hot.

I've been dying to wear the scarf since I found it in my mothers trunk a couple weeks ago.  The drama it adds to the look and the beads play into the African Gypsy feel of the look.  Thank God it was slightly windy , you can't plan that, but right before the camera snapped it went away (boo!). Kicked it off with my silver sandals and this took me throughout the day.  Had the weather been colder a jacket over my shoulders would have edged up the look.

For my cold weather friends put a sweater underneath the dress, slide into some boots, wrap a scarf around and finish with a cozy jacket.  Voila!  Instant success.

For those of you into a more sweet and lovely look go for the look my friend has in the bottom photo.  A full skirt, cowboy boots and a denim button up and this girl is ready to tackle nursing.

It's been a while huh?  Let me tell you, college is serious business and if you value your time and sleep you lose friends.  But waves are natural with life and you can ride the curl or wash-ashore. 

Being in the (metaphorical) curl is one of the most exhilarating and terrifying things that can happen to anyone.  With all this running around playing circus juggler with life and priorities, ironically presenting oneself properly is often laid aside like last nights cardigan.  Keep things simple and cohesive so when you leave in the morning pounding the pavement, acing the day is the only thing on the to-do list.  For an easy put together look
slip on a long pencil skirt that hits the natural waist with a figure hugging blouse on top. 

I know it's cold outside the SoCal bubble but try these alternatives: funky hosiery, posh knee-socks, stiletto boots and knit skirts.  The last post talked about the importance of the pencil skirt and I did promise to post my look.

Well there it is, I loved this look.  Public opinion stated that it was classic and the twisted tank top with the sandals added a Grecian goddess feel.  Perfect for a casual Friday but polished enough that I can go all day from school to work with confidence.  The great thing about this look is that because of the simplicity you choose where to take it.  If you're better with accessories, unlike me, you can stack up the bangles, hoop up the earrings, band up your hair, it's really up to you.  Pump up the heels to meet up with God or keep it closer to earth with flats.

Ankle length adds a certain class but because it hugs at just the right curves I'm still young and approachable.  I really wish more young ladies opted for a classic look instead of flash-in-the-pan tacky trends but it is what it is.

New sweater

I honestly feel as though Southern California has a bigger love affair with sweaters than those in the mid-west who actually need them.  "Sweater Weather" has been quoted to death but I will raise my hand first in order to support wearing over-sized sweaters.  A fun twist would be over-sized sweatshirts, relaxed and casual while also adding a chic street look to your busy schedule.

Kick it up with your best pair of sneaks for a funky downtown look.  This is perfect for the ladies who take their comfort seriously.  I absolutely love the idea of throwing a leather jacket over a hoodie dress with a cool pair of black leather converse.  If you are in the business of adding a girly touch don't fret throw on the nicest pair of ballet flats for a more feminine walk.  Slick back the hair and some statement earrings and the day is yours for the taking.

Resolution I

Well readers it's that time of year again: back to the grind, back to the schedules, back to good intentions of productivity.  How long till you break your?  I'm giving myself two weeks but luckily I'm taking preventative measures so I think it'll be more uphill than downhill this year.

Take a look at your closet and pick the one thing you hate.  Got it?  Good.  Now wear it tomorrow with something you love.  Clearly if it's two skirts it's not gonna work but find two opposites and make it work, push your creative spirit.  A look I'm really going to commit to trying is the bulky look.  Over-sized sweaters with a more bohemian skirt finished with a pair of boots.

Amazing how everything wrong seems to end up kind of chic instead.  This outfit is amazing for all those after holiday treats that piled up around the stomach and thighs.

If this look makes you want to bolt the other way I'm right there with you but before you push the EXIT door give it a second look.  Honestly I would never wear pantyhose and open toed shoes, while I understand the fashion styling, in real life it's like having a giant toe.  Try one at a time starting with the skirt and then tack on a more fitted sweater.  If you're like me on the first day back to the grind you underestimate how much time it'll actually take you to get ready but with this you can throw it on.

A full skirt and an interesting sweater would also work amazingly well on fast days.  A sweater for these never ending cold air and a cool pair of shoes because come on, who needs a reason to wear fabulous shoes?  Look at the pictures below for some inspiration and don't be afraid to add your own touch.  Maybe with a kitten sweater, a patterned skirt or some statement shoes... also send me pics of your creations and I'll definitely post them up.

I would like to give a quick shout-out to all my midwest people braving that horrendous cold.  On the bright side it really looks as though people are enjoying throwing boiling water and watching it turn into ice or snow or whatever.  Bundle up, stay safe, keep warm.

Apparently it's so cold that moving to the South Pole would actually be warmer, whether or not it's true I don't know, but whatever say hi to Santa for me.  Let me clue those that have never dealt with this much cold, I have actually slept in a jacket, mittens, a hat and Ugg boots.   

1. Don't complain: This realization came to me after a blizzard happened during my spring break.  As I braveed the cold the rest of my class went to Mexico, the Caribbean and Hawaii.  The  rest of us were in the same frigid boat and mother nature does not care.  Instead I stayed at home with my toast and hot coco and watched the Travel channel's best resort special and took it like a real woman.

2. Start on the inside: Long john's were the bane of my existence as a kid but now I really kick myself for not utilizing them more.  The idea is the thermal should keep you warmer by adding another layer thin enough to fit under jeans and sweaters without really bulking up an outfit.  Especially for jeans, jeans are the worst for winter, they are always cold so add a thermal underneath.

  Girls get to wear tights but they're useless if they're thin, go for the fleece leggings.  My mother bought me a pair for my birthday last year and it's now a big wardrobe staple.  Very snug, very warm, very practical, don't you just love that?  And your corner Walgreens should carry them from

3. Layered: Fun fact about Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, when they first moved to New York City they had a rather interesting choice of clothing.  They were piling on clothes almost to the point of looking unrecognizable that is if you could find them underneath all those clothes.  Reality was they were just trying to stay warm.  Wearing skin tight gloves under knit mittens, a skull cap under a knit cap, and a fleece scarf under a knit scarf are little tricks.  Find a sweater that clings to your skin, throw on a chunky sweater vest over it and there's something new for you and should help guard you against that blasted cold.  Something I loved doing was the double jacket maneuver.  A cropped wool jacket on the inside and a bulkier thermal jacket on the outside so if I forgot to zip or button up the outside I still had on another layer.  Remember to actually button and zip all those little buttons, hooks, and zippers so air is very limited in entering your body.  Also be careful when layering because you don't want to plumb yourself by not flattering yourself.  Really study your figure and add pieces you never thought of.

5.  Speaking of coats:  Some people do make the mistake in choosing the wrong coat, Remember most people see you in coats most of the time. Flimsy, big, loud you name it I've seen it or worn it. Duh you want a furry hood but if you want durability skip the fur-trimmed hood and just get a furry hood.  You want insulation really and desperate times call for desperate measures.  At the end of the day we're all cold judgement is left at a minimum but you can still attempt style.  Puffy jackets are good as long as they offer something worthwhile in return such as insulation.  Pick your material accordingly, I would rather go
for wool, fleece, cashmere than leather.  Leather doesn't work unless your wearing something inside.

4. These boots were made for...: Stilletto boots are fun but not when you're waling on ice or looking out for black ice.  You want something with more traction and you also want to tuck your pants into the boot.  Think of it as rehearsal and opening show, the shoes you wear outside is rehearsal and the ones you change into is the actual performance.  Winter boots don't have to be ugly and a lot of designers have realized that and have made accomodations.  What you should really try to find is a furry inside for maximum heat, but at the same time you want to be able to clean it easily.  After a while the salt on the road mixed with the dirty snow wrecks havoc on your winter wear.

Lesson Learned

"Making it" is easier said than done but you know what, why should it be easy?  Over the weekend I had the privilege to get some kind of experience styling photos for a friend but in a battle between my fantasy and reality, my fantasy was body-slammed as though it was a WWF championship.

GET YOUR VISION TOGETHER
 This is a no brainier but I'll still say it, know exactly what you are supposed to be shooting.  When you sit with a photographer, designer or whomever you're collaborating with make sure you both mean the same thing.  If a photographer says he wants the looks to be uncommon, I hear dramatic and unconventional proportions and colors.  Meanwhile the photographer could be scared by your ideas or just not like them.  Iron out those details because it could waste a lot of time.  Make sure you know
Arrange the clothes accordingly.  Piece each look from head to toe even though it's time consuming you don't want to walk into the shoot looking like an amateur.  Time is money and in photography it's also daylight.  It's a lot easier to see a polished vision than a sloppy idea.


PLAY WELL WITH OTHERS
Unless you are Grace Coddington or Emmanuelle Alt your word is not law.  Without a full on reputation and credibility you will have to be flexible.  Unless you are the boss paying people to work on your time and your rules, you will have to be flexible.  I went into the experience thinking it was my style ideas they were shooting and it wasn't.  So many opinions went into one outfit while some were welcome others maybe were not welcome because I usually like things my way.  Having to get opinions took me off guard and I won't lie, I took them personally and actually became aggravated as the day went on.  I felt as though my ideas weren't good enough.  That is not the case.  Simply put, I'm still learning and fashion is one big group project and even if you are the boss hearing the cold hard truth will happen just go with it.  Listen to the opinions, advice, suggestions... use them accordingly and respectfully.

HOPE YOU BROUGHT AN UMBRELLA
Get ready for the unexpected.  Plans change, people cancel, locations get moved things happen.  Deal with it and move on.  Remember everyone is dealing with the same problems you are and if you throw yourself a little pity party, only you will be in attendance not to mention nobody wants to work with that.  Find the glimmer of hope and change up your plans and roll with the punches.

Boyfriend

It's about time SoCal had some brisk air! I've really missed the air having a certain snap to it.  This is the weather I love for jogging because there's no sweat, hanging outside without freezing and lighting up a bonfire.  But to the Cali babies I know it's time to move into Starbucks or stay at home with homemade tea or coffee.  Whatever the hearts desire, the common theme is to be comfortable during the fall and for me that means taking a dip into the boyfriend category.

Boyfriend jeans, boyfriend sweaters, boyfriends...  Whatever the case make sure to structure the outfit carefully for full comfort.  I love my boyfriend jeans but I will say after I found them at the thrift store I wasn't always proud of wearing them.  In high school it was paired with sneakers and a sweater, I looked like a boy in my mind.  Today I throw them on to run errands and I pair it with a comfortable t-shirt and some old sneakers.

When it comes to boyfriend wear there are a few tips to remember:
1. Yes they are relaxed:
 But that does not translate into baggy or even worse sloppy.  After you fit the entire thanksgiving dinner inside your stomach you can also fit into your boyfriend jeans and still have enough room for flag football.  Slide a couple fingers between the waist-band and you should be able to pull the denim away from your waist, if not, probably time to rethink jean size.

2. Proportions still matter!  Never box yourself into the idea of bigger, there's comfort and then there's Macy's day parade float size.  For me as a college student, if I were to put on my boyfriend jeans I would also pair it with my crisp white button down

shirt and a bold statement necklace.  They may be called boyfriend jeans but you're still the girlfriend.

3.  Previously I stated I wanted to accessorize with a statement piece necklace but that's not all the weapons in your arsenal.  Cute pair of pumps are a great way to class up the outfit but make sure you can walk in them, otherwise I really recommend wedges.  They also play into the relaxed vibe, sneakers add a certain classy cool girl vibe

4.  I honestly love the idea of playing around with masculine jewelry, and wearing boyfriend jeans is a great way to do that.  Instead of the dainty watches and bangles go for something tougher and more durable.  Leather wristbands and masculine watches layered on the arm add a don't mess vibe.  While up top subtle earrings like pearls throw in a soft idea, mixing the feminine with the masculine is a sure way to keep the minds guessing.

Over all have fun with this look, this is one of those pieces that's so wrong it's right.

I have been spending the best days of my life sitting in bed with the company of Gossip Girl re-runs.  At the same time I'm wondering why I thought some of those outfits were cute, definitely solidifies the idea that not every high fashion combination is a winner.  Remember when skirts over jeans was the cool thing to do?  How about jean skirts and Uggs?  How about Uggs in general?  I remember trying all of these including the peasant skirt with Uggs and a jean jacket, yep I rocked all those looks but never again, those sleeping dogs are dead.

Lot of skirt mistakes in our past and it hasn't gotten any better, I cringe at some of the mistakes I see today but know it's going to be so funny to tell my kids about.  Today fashion no no's are a bit more subtle not by the style but rather some people just don't know when to retire a trend.  With school just around the corner perhaps it's time to clean the closet and let room in for a new trend, and one trend that needs retiring is the high-low skirt or as some have labeled it, the mullet skirt.


Some people could argue against this but come on say it with me: "high low, got to go!"  While you're at it toss the skirt with the sheer layover in the bye-bye pile too.  It's not that these aren't cute but rather it's now time to go but by the look of things it appears some people have a bit of an attachment issue.  At it's peak these skirts were a cute idea and an interesting take on long skirts, it was a very casual take on a Grecian look but as bright as it shined it also dulled just as fast.  The problem with certain trends is that the value of them diminishes when everyone wears them even though not everyone looks good in them.  For starters the high-low doesn't compliment girls on the shorter spectrum, and depending on just how high the middle part is can be unflattering for those of us with curvier thighs.

A great alternative with the high-low is a long skirt with a nice slit, just a couple inches above the knees is a great start, and just about mid-thigh is a great place to stop!  Just about everyone can pull this look off easier and you know it will always be in style.  I do have some tips for how to achieve this.

If this style worries you go for a solid color that way it pairs with different tops easily thus saving you more time.  When picking a top think of the skirt, the tighter the skirt the more flow the shirt should have.  The tight look can be cool but sooner or later in the day you'll probably need to breathe.

Double slit!  I personally have this kind of skirt and I'm in love with it, it's so easy to throw on and instantly I look put together and interesting.  Throw on some sandals and a cute, fitted tank top for a casual goddess look.  Be careful: slits can be attractive and sexy but keep in mind wind blows and as you walk you pick up momentum and... you know where I'm going with this.

If you don't have a slit skirt before you buy one do look in your closet first and find an old skirt that needs updating.  A simple tutorial can be found online or by someone who knows how to sew it's not hard so don't fear.  Try it on a skirt you may not wear often or are already throwing out, just to leave yourself lots of room for mistakes.

Then there's me, I have this really cute beach wrap I never wear as much as I would like so I turned it into a skirt and because it wraps it has a great slit to it.  I've received lots of compliments and it's honestly one of my favorite little tricks because I love telling people it's just a beach wrap.  I will say that I actually wear this look with tights because the slit can run all the way up and I'm not trying to give everyone a free show.  Quick tip: the higher the slit the lower the heels, a cute four inch heel is plenty.

Lately I've found myself reminiscing about the past and before you think sentimental I've been thinking about certain people I can't really stand the sight of.  I've realized that some friendships just change or people who you think would /should be open to a friendship are just too self involved to realize what a good friend is.  Best to just turn your back on petty stupidity and walk ahead, and let me tell you the back is just as beautiful as the front.  Don't be so focused on your front that you neglect your back, after all we have to give the haters some parting gift don't we?

Let's give them something to talk about and next time you buy a top turn it around to look at the back.  Don't keep going for the crotchet and lace back that is see through but really go a bit classier and edgier with your clothes.  First understand how to go backless: if your bra strap has to show keep it moving.  Bra's come in different sizes and shapes and there are those you can just attach to your breast and you can call it a day.  Having that strap across your back or just your bra being visible is just tacky and not okay, we as women are the classy ones in the human race.  It's a tough job but somebody's gotta do it and it might as well be the ones' in heels.

My personal wishlist: get a black long sleeved shirt with a scoop back, just to pair that with a red pleated skirt and a pair of flats...  Before you just buy any kind of backless number decide what the endgame is, are you hoping to be edgy, classy, fun and flirty?  Remember that a backless number is also another impression of who you are.  Think about this, your teacher sees you walk away, your boss sees you walk away, your parents see you walk away, your priest, your buddy, the cashier...  The list goes on but definitely keep that in mind when shopping.

If you're not afraid of some tan lines then definetly go for a piece with an interesting cut-out design or criss-cross pattern up top.  Keep in mind to pull the hair up and away from your back perhaps in a sleek side-pony, chic bun or chignon.

Remember to be backless with a purpose don't just cut some holes on the back of a shirt and think you're done no!  Play around with the back a little perhaps a cute long necklace with a pendant could make a cool and alluring effect.  Or perhaps you're looking for a great way to show off all those back muscles you've recently acquired after busting your buns in the gym, a scoop back is a great way to show of your new toned friends.  Wanna go for something fancier?  Try a deep V-cut in the back for a clean and sophisticated look.  Be careful not to go too low for fear of showing a little more than you want, imagine sitting down and well we all get to see the tip of the moon.  For crying out loud be careful about the backless shirt, a misconception we have today is the more skin the better.  In fact we as women are naturally attractive and it's important that we leave people with imagination.

Oh how I love long locks cascading past your shoulders and swishing to the side as you laugh.  Just being able to run my fingers from the roots to the tips.  Sike!  Nope I am blessed with an afro, short, sassy and believe me, when I walk in all eyes are on me.

With all those faces looking my way it is detrimental to understand just how to add drama to the hair.  Earrings are a must and the go to pair for me are the hoops, and as Nelly Furtado says "the bigger the better."  One of the best ways to add drama to a look is to go with hoop earrings and since my hair is very short one of the key pieces in my jewelry collection are my hoop earrings.  Some days are simple studs but some days call for something dramatic.

Let me break it down for you when it comes to hoops, even though I'm rambling about how great they look with my short hair they work well for long or short.  They are an equal opportunity piece of jewelry but they have their own rules.  

#1: Hoops love being shown off therefore sweep the hair up and away from your shoulders.  Everytime I wear hoops I often refer to the picture of Hilary Duff on the right because she is the perfect example of what I'm talking about.  Hair up in a funky style with some dramatic hoops is sure to draw the right attention your way.  Maybe not red carpet attention but at least you look like you deserve red-carpet attention.

#2: If you want people to know your name either tell them or wear a name tag it doesn't have to be in the middle of your hoops.  No one has ever made that look cool and I highly doubt that it will ever be cool. 

#3: Go for the gold, a classic piece will always be a gold pair of hoops.  Just keep a simple medium sized pair for whenever you're running behind and you still want to look cool.  Everytime my ride threatens to leave I throw a gold pair of hoops in my purse to put on later.  Here comes my swan song: look at a thrift store first, often I've found new pairs for nothing simply because someone didn't like them.  If anything learn a great way to desensitize jewelry if germs are the problem.

#4: Drama doesn't just belong on the stage there is space on your ears.  So may talented designers in the world have done us all a favor and designed really cool pieces.  Don't we owe it to them to at least get a few pairs?  Figure out the style you want to on a daily basis and work around that.  My type are the ones on the left, I find that having something simple and sleek draws the most attention.  The hoops are gold with a cool texture and a turquoise stone at the middle and they are just screaming my name.

I'm With the Band

Throwback: that was right before my high school prom and my favorite part about my outfit was my headband.  I was very nervous to wear it because it is a statement piece and can draw the wrong attention but it ended up making my outfit and I received a lot of compliments.  Perhaps it was because my prom happened right after the royal wedding and everyone was obsessed with statement hats and my headband was a suburban statement.

I am a big advocate for headbands especially on days when my hair decides it doesn't care about my reputation, my headband's got my back or rather my head.  I love headbands so much I once splurged over $40 bucks on hair bands, clips and pins!  The headband on the right is only $4.00 at Ulta, when I worked at Ulta I helped a girl pick out that exact one for her prom.  Bet she turned a few heads as well.  For a great and more affordable store I highly recommend Ulta, when I would walk by the hair accessories rack it took a lot to not spend my entire paycheck.

I love seeing so many girls take risks using headbands, headpieces, scarves and pins.  One thing I would advise against is getting something too big that it sticks out against the outfit you're wearing.  Remember to compliment your look not make people scratch their heads wondering what happened.  Starting with the everyday look of jeans and a basic tee, a statement piece can still work with a pulled back hairstyle.  You can still keep the look casual but appear romantic with just a stunning touch.

Based on your personality it can be a fun home project for you alone or with few friends to spend time on.  Adding some chunky crystals and beads to a headband makes the look interesting and completely unique to you.

Avoid the flower halo trend the best that you can, it's too big and only really works well during music festivals.  While some flower halos are cute (the tiny side halos), I understand the want for the look.  For me it reminds me of the wedding wreaths in pictures I would see as a little girl but now I don't want to wait for a special occasion to put on a cute headpiece.
